Adoption Patterns of AI Technologies in Developing Economies
Analysis of how AI technologies are being adopted in emerging markets.
Abstract
This paper examines the unique patterns and challenges of AI technology adoption in developing economies, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa. Through surveys of 200 businesses and interviews with 50 tech leaders, we identify key barriers including infrastructure gaps, skills shortages, and localization needs.

The research proposes a framework for sustainable AI adoption that considers local context, cultural factors, and resource constraints. Recommendations include prioritizing low-bandwidth solutions, developing local language training, and creating public-private partnerships for infrastructure development.
