01. Background

How It All Started

From a single YouTube channel to a full educational platform

TechInHausa was founded by Ibrahim Zubairu (Malamiromba), with the aim of bringing technology and AI education to the Hausa-speaking community in their native language.

We started with a few videos on computer programming and have grown into a comprehensive educational platform offering tutorials, blog posts, news and research across many fields of technolog, all free, all in Hausa.

We believe language should never be a barrier to education. That is why we are committed to explaining tech concepts clearly and accessibly, always in Hausa.

02. Purpose

Mission & Vision

Mission

Making tech simple, practical, and usable

To remove the barriers between technology and Hausa-speaking communities by making tech simple, practical, and usable for everyday people.

Vision

Hausa speakers leading the digital economy

To see Hausa speakers not just included in the digital economy, but leading and shaping it.

03. Timeline

Our Journey

From an idea to a growing movement

2021

The Realisation

Seeing the gap

TechInHausa started from a simple realization: a lot of people were being left out of the digital economy not because they weren't capable, but because tech wasn't explained in a way they could understand. That was the starting point. The goal became clear: find a way to bridge that gap.

2022

The First Step

Telling our own tech stories

We started small with simple videos, breaking down programming and digital skills in Hausa. Nothing too much, just clear explanations. The idea was simple: simplify it. That's how our first pillar began: Malamiromba, telling our own tech stories, in our own language.

2023

Building Connection

From learning alone to learning together

As more people started engaging, one thing became obvious: content alone wasn't enough. People needed somewhere to ask questions, share, and grow. So we began building communities across platforms, spaces where people could learn together, not in isolation. This became our second pillar: Skills Arewa, turning individual learning into shared growth.

2024

Going Deeper

From awareness to understanding

We moved beyond videos into writing, newsletters, and more structured content. The focus wasn't just to introduce tech anymore, but to help people truly understand it, from the basics to things like AI.

2025

Building What We Needed

From content to platforms

At some point, it became clear: if we really wanted to scale impact, content alone wouldn't be enough. We needed systems. So we started building platforms and learning environments designed for real people with real challenges, real limitations, and real goals. This became our third pillar: Software Solutions (tathschool), building what we need to learn, grow, and scale.

Today

A Growing Ecosystem

More than just content

TechInHausa has grown into more than just videos or posts. It's now an ecosystem built on three things: Content, making technology simple and understandable, Community, helping people grow together, and Platforms, creating structured paths for learning and access. Along the way, the work has gained recognition across major platforms but more importantly, it continues to grow with one clear focus: making technology simple, practical, and usable for more people.

04. Our Structure

Three Pillars

The foundation of everything we do

Content

Making technology simple and understandable through videos, blogs, and newsletters, all in Hausa.

Community

Helping people grow together through shared learning spaces and peer support across platforms.

Platforms

Creating structured paths for learning and access through software solutions and learning environments.

The Person Behind It

About Ibrahim Zubairu
— Malamiromba

Ibrahim Zubairu (Malamiromba) is a Nigerian tech educator and community builder focused on making modern technology accessible to Hausa-speaking communities. He has taught and guided thousands of learners across Northern Nigeria and beyond, helping them understand and use digital tools, AI, and tech skills in practical, everyday ways.

Beyond teaching, Ibrahim advocates for AI literacy and the growth of technical capacity in underserved language communities. He believes that curiosity about technology is universal, what often stands in the way is access and understanding. This platform is a reflection of that belief: making technology clear, relatable, and usable for more people.
